Lex Appeal

Today I was planning on publishing a post from a recent session and finally getting around to another Adorable Adoptables, which I haven’t done in a month. Instead, I thought I’d highlight one very special kitty. Lex is currently available for adoption at the Humane Society of Chittenden County and is a friendly, playful, gentle boy. He does ask for more than the average house cat, however, as he’s a diabetic. You don’t have to be a medical expert in order to provide Lex with the forever home he wants and deserves. He requires a special diet, regular insulin shots, and a few trips to the vet each year to monitor his well-being. The wonderful staff at the shelter is very knowledgeable and willing to help a new family get him settled in his home.

As you can imagine, a shelter environment is very difficult for a special needs kitty like Lex. Although the shelter is prepared to care for Lex, they do have more critical animals that demand their attention and resources. Lex is every bit as sweet as he looks in his portraits. He is very curious about people, loves to play, and adores being pet. Ian and I totally fell for him during his photo shoot. After we were done photographing him, Lex moved to the other side of the table to a patch of sunshine and groomed himself. He’s a total gentleman!
